these big-bit macpaint animations are ugly (in an I'm -interestingly-challenged-by -this-horrid-thing kind of way) and trippy.
I would say trippy and obnoxious is what I'm after here. I don't actually see the pixels as ugly, though. Unsubtle and obvious, yes. But I like the way the old programs just lay everything out. Nothing is mystified (eg, with filters).
