I am in a two-person show in Dallas next month at and/or gallery, along with the artist Saskia Jorda. The gallery'll be showing some of my animated gifs, the Guitar Solo vid, a molecule-tagged product box or two, the nine-drawing "wormy abstraction" series, and additionally, I'm working on a new piece in the "layered" style (possibly two, depending on how long they take). I'll be documenting the latter work on the blog as I make it. Above are a couple of early stages.
Right on!
Great, will you go to my house, pretend to be me, tell my mom, you finally cut your hair, and then just wing it from there? Go see Bill's mom too, since he's breaking her heart for the Christmas season.
i wanted to comment on you process here. just thinking back to all the people that i knew with paste up and mechanical jobs coming out of art school. but more specifically all the art boards that go into print media and then get chucked out once they are photostatted. i like the no there there nature referenced in your process. in your case putting the there back in there and the subject back in the object. i dont think i really believe in the post modern any more.
looks great, can't wait for the show!
