And now a special message from the Republican National Committee:
Attention Montana Election Officials:
Cheney is nearby and he's armed.
Just something to think about. Re: the election generally: yay us, boo them. Now that we're getting the idea that the netroots works better than Rove's fear machine, we need to keep pressure and sunlight on these bastards as they inevitably get all clubby again with crooks and munitions lobbyists on the cocktail circuit of that stupid hick town DC (apologies to friends and loved ones there for the crack).
Update: Montana now has a Democratic Senator. Still waiting to find out whether Virginia will reject its current racist and sadist--sounds like it will be a while.
yay netroots!
We got a bunch of Republican judges ousted down here in Dallas but we still have "Gov. Goodhair".
Rumsfeld just resigned.
YOU ESSAY! YOU ESSAY!
(...um, you know what I mean, don't make me spell it out)
And too much Wonkette & Colbert Report last night made me punchy so I found an eagle gif for you.
Six years to dislodge that egotistical, bungling, murdering, antiquated, parasitic bureaucrat. He flees when faced with actual investigations. Great news but what the hell is wrong with us?
I just read an interesting comment on a fave political site, Candide's Notebooks. Someone pointed out that Bush might have changed the election outcome if he had announced Rumsfeld's resignation a few days earlier.
Not that anyone is complaining. (Damn it, I love elections. Except for your 2000 & 2004 votes.)
T.J.
if kinkey had thrown bell his votes you would have a dem governor now. the dick.
enjoy those new libertarian judges. (just talked to my mom in north dallas.)
Fortunately Texas is a "weak governor" state--the Ledge does most of the biz. Something people should have realized when "Texas Governor" was the only thing on Junior's resume.
Kinky's "equal opportunity hater" schtick seemed really out of step with the times. Characterizing NY as a "Negro talking to himself" was '70s "shock" humor unstuck in time.
