solid definition MSPaintbrush

the top image Guthrie found and posted to Nasty Nets. The bottom is a panel I redrew in MSPaintbrush (Paint's more sophisticated ancestor). I mean, kitsch is kitsch but anyplace to show off some Paintbrush "skillz."

your drawing is much more steamier/sweatier ;)

That's partly because I'm sweaty & steamy guy, but also because Paintbrush behaves like watercolor when you really "work it." It's a great combination of fluid and brittle, old and new-old, that's why I keep giving product endorsements for this obsolete product.

You already have it, right here. It stops at my chin because real men don't wear glasses.

hey, was MSPaintrush a part of Win3.1 of 95? and I remember that you can save palettes? is that correct? and also does it run on 98 XP or Vista? if you copy it over. I think i remember copying it to a floppy one time so I could run it on 98 i dug the save your palette gig. I'm just bent on collecting i guess.

>>was MSPaintprush a part of Win3.1 of 95?

Yes!

>>and also does it run on 98

Yes!

XP

>>Yes--with one or two glitches

Vista?

>>Don't know yet. I fear the worst.

>>and I remember that you can save palettes?

The Help files say you can but the .pal files do not save on my computer (laptop running XP). Not sure if there's a way to fix that.

i think, initially i was excited about saving .pal files because, when mspaint loads an image it generates a palette file carrying the colors present in the image that is loaded. Pretty cool! the ability to save an aproximation of ... an image in the form of a .pal file, and then use that aproximation to create another image. I really just thought it would be cool to have a file, apple.pal, that represented mspaints aproximation of an apple or whatever. I'm not sure if you can save those .pal files on any version of windows, i tried on 98 and it didn't work.
