This is a photo of my dining room, circa 1987. Five wrought-iron chairs (cushioned in orange Naugahyde) surround a pentagonal table with an aqua, formica top. I only had five chairs, so I retroengineered the table design, subcontracting the construction out to a wrought-iron fabricator. Most of the other stuff in the room came from a store that specialized in Populuxe furniture. I still own the green chair in the background; everything else went up for consignment in '93.
