"Study of Disputed Florida Ballots Finds Justices Did Not Cast the Deciding Vote" say the Bush lackies at the NYT. The headline could just as easily have read "Overvotes Put Bush Election in Doubt," but the status quo must be maintained at all costs.

Yeah, but what's annoying about the Times headline is that it vindicates Bush and the Supremes at one go. Except for the Times' sister publication, the Wall Street Journal, the other pro-Bush headlines didn't go that far. It's as if Howell and Co. are saying, "Let's see if we can restore lost confidence in 2 branches of government at a pop, so we can all get back to bidness."
