Cynthia Cotts, the Voice's press columnist, documents the Times' infatuation with bitterness. If she'd turned nexus on her own paper she might have found the best line, which I think I saw in Musto's column:
Am I bitter? Taste me.
i have a feeling she's just bitter. it would be nice to know if there was a significant rise in the use of 'bitter' or if she was just filling her weekly alotted space.
she mentions mencken. i crossed his path earlier as he was involved in this bitter little tirade loosed by loos.
pretty lame imo. SLOWWWWW news week...which she might have used as her topic (eg all the "Retailers Bet On Last Minute Holiday Shopping!" stories) instead of a crappy lexis search on a single word piece.
