We want to know what our resident golf-lover thinks about Annika vs. "the guys".
I'm all for any sort of excitement that makes it seem even the tiniest bit less ridiculous that I actually watch golf. So yeah, bring it on. "No I'm not really into golf, but this Annika thing is like a cultural watershed or something - I had to watch it."
If she's still in it on Sunday it will be really exciting. I'm under the impression that there is little chance of this, but I have absolutely no facts to go on. I've only seen a few short clips of her. By her stats it looks like she can hit the ball far enough so that if her short game were superior to the men she could compete. "Drive for show; putt for dough" as they say.
Wait, am I the golf-lover?
Even if there are other golf lovers around here, I for one would prefer that you carry the burden of that title. I have already been made fun of this week for my attention to sports statistics, "holy cow, can you believe the Mavs shot 98% (48 of 50) from the foul line in game one?" And, "what about that reliever, over twelve games he's maintaining a .90 ERA?"
i AM trying to type this as i ride an exercycle at crunch on laffayette st. the touchpad isnt that great. you would never know how many people were here from looking through the windowS. its like a beehive of sweaty drones driven along by techno music./
...not a pretty picture; I'd rather fantasize about female golfers.

the mavs were 49 of 50. not that i saw it, i just watch the box scores.
they say that thirteen year old female golfer phenom has the distance to compete with men, but needs to improve her putting.

Oh, yeah you're right, 49/50, it's a pretty good basketball buzz for the lone star state, this I-35 series. At least until the (changing sports) Texas Rangers make it to the World Series. No really, it could happen. All they have to do is, uh, win more games.
