I Me Me My
Sally, your link didn't close and is obscuring a couple of the prior posts.
I know! I can't see it to fix it. Why is it only me who ever screws up like this?
no im the BIGGEST fuck up !!!
Got it.
Probably there is some fancy regex kung-fu I could do to make sure that doesn't happen. Can't get my head around it yet though.
One thing may be the ability of different browsers to see the [edit] link when this happens. For whatever reason I can always see [edit] with IE on a PC even when I mistype the link.
For sure different browsers fail in different ways when presented with malformed HTML. But you should always be able to view the HTML ('view source' in most browsers) and manually extract the edit link. Not so easy given the rats nest of HTML the system produces, but it is always possible.
I'm not clear on how the edit link opens a post if you can't see the post, though. --D'oh, I see it now, the post number is in the edit link. That's a pretty easy fix.
Bill, just because no one is jumping in to argue with you doesn't necessarily mean you are the biggest FU.
...but your saying so did make me feel better.
I AM THE BUGGEST FICKUP.
