this one takes the cake
One thing that's interesting about that clip is, in the course of looking completely uninformed on the subject of native American tribal sovereignty, Bush still managed to say the wrong thing and make native Americans mad. He said "You've been given sovereignty"--the tribes maintain that sovereignty is something they've always had, that it's not something of the white man's to give.
Back in the before time, during the campaign, when people wanted to make fun of Kerry they put words in his mouth. When they wanted to make fun of Bush, they just gave him an open mike.
This was taken up by the rediots as "proof" that the press is biased. "They openly laughed at the chosen one. What blatant bias!" But how could you not laugh at this? Will Ferrell couldn't have written a better riff.
