arianna's kvetching post v. tpmcafe
huffenstuff
What do you think if this? I sort of get the feeling that most of these celebrities will have a blog-like rant or two in them and then they'll go back to spending their time on whatever vehicles made them invitation-worthy in the first place.
I mean, any one of them could have gotten a blogspot blog. Does Arianna's imprimatur make them feel more legitimate?
most of these people probably dont want to maintain a blog of their own and do the things required to build readership. but it has the feel of a vanity blog, maybe some will get the bug and spin off their own blog. after all, some of our favorite bloggers started out that way.
i dont think it makes them feel more legitimate, it makes blogging seem more legitimate (to them).
I sometimes feel sorry for these newbies, and then I remember their names are already all in capitals. (joke)
also, it has no comments. lame. turn the megaphone around. i dont find them all that engaging but i like that theyre there.
At least they have David Rees writing.
"Ariana Huffington doesn't think you (the unwashed non-celebrity public masses) should be able to comment or trackback to her blog just yet, so I've set up this shell site where you can comment directly on the posts while adding links to your own commentary."
self criticism on comment issue.
