skinny needs new computer.....all in favor of the 2.16Ghz over the 2.0 say BUY......and skinny is mostly a Sony guy and his office is non apple......all in favor say STILL BUY.....thanks
go mac!
I'm assuming you're talking about the 2.0 or 2.16 Ghz MacBooks. You won't be able to tell the difference in speed. I'd get the 2.0 and then spend for a 2nd Gig of RAM (for 2 Gigs total.) It will run all the Microsoft Office apps you need (talk to me when you get it.) The only other difference between those models is the 2.16 has a superdrive (CD player/burner + DVD player/burner) while the 2.0 is only a combo-drive (CD player/burner + DVD player.) But I doubt you need to burn DVDs. I'll go to the Apple Store with you if you want.

jim the link you wanted $499 and $599.....remember i am non tech and its just word process, email and internet......
Hard to argue with the Dell prices. I think the MacBooks are a great deal, but it's different. You pay more than those Dells (way more in this case) but you get way more. So they're both good values, it's just a question of what you need (Apple doesn't have a product that competes against these super low end machines.) Maybe the Dell would be okay for you. Do you have someone to help you with Windows?
i want to be a hipster so i will order a big mac
I vote for more memory rather than a faster processor. More memory and faster hard disk will buy you more real speed (depending on application, your mileage may vary).
The Windows/Mac discussion is a religious rather than technical issue.
Amen.
thanks all went for the 2.0 with 2 gigs.......skinny......hum religion and ny mag called him igod
this is my first apple in 4-5 years and its sexy
