true, we have also covered our hatch for safety reasons, but left the pole in case we or future owners want to open it again. maybe with a thick plexi childproof/drunkproof hatch. (breathalyzer?) nice renovation though. wonder how long it took them. our count so far, 16 months planning and 13 building.
and it is also true the first question everyone asks is "does it have a pole" and the second is "are you going to keep it?"
that firehouse in holyoke in the sidebar looks pretty sweet.
I was more interested in the fate of the Dalmation.
