the brand new SD1100 is $220 and 8 mexapixel, while the top line SD950 is 12.1 mexaP and better zoom......
our old one is 4 mexaP.....
any words of advise for amaturs that just want photo memories of the brats.....

i'm going to try to go to to b&h today. does anyone ever buy protection plans?
I bought a protection plan for my 3.2 megapixel coolpix. The camera did crap out after a year and a half and it was replaced but by then I could have purchased a much better camera for a little more than I originally paid for the plan. Also, it took about a month for Nikon to determine whether to repair or replace the camera. I think protection plans really just serve to make inexpensive cameras more expensive.

well i bought i anyway. it covers accidents and ryley likes to take photos so... just left b&h, LOVE that place.
