mac wheel
Hilarious, I love shiny new shit as well. My brother sent me my first iPod today. I am the last person in the developed world to own one. Should I tuck it discreetly in my coat pocket or should I hold it in both hands with my arms extended in front of me?
whattodo whattodo.
No, hold yourself out arms extended in front with the earphone cables trailing back after you like the leash of a dog attached to the Pod Itself.
I have to admit I'm lusting after the new Mac Book Pros. I'd like to drop by my local Apple store with a file from my video camera to see if it will play back at real time. (I get 40-50 frames rather than 60 frames per second with my current machine.) I'm afraid however, that if it does work I will leave the store with a new computer.
I do have a succession plan (secession plan?) in case I get a new machine. I get the new one (duh!), D gets the current one (fulfilling her dream of ditching Windows), and D's friend gets one of the Windows lap tops, keeping the resident laptop count <= to the resident feline count.
More on Steve ...
My understanding is that if it's h.264 the new chipsets will rock it.
