i love that house, but i think it must be very dark inside. also i like the one down on 95th street that used to face the water and is now south-facing. the owner had it turned after her husband died at sea is the story i heard, but i'm not finding that anywhere right now. farrell house:

aha! found it in a book we have. "Mrs. Farrell could no longer bear the grief of viewing the ships and water that had recently claimed the lives of both her husband and son at sea."

Ive admired this house in williamsburg and was sad when it sold for 2.5mill as a development property. The house was built in the mid 1800s by Peter Cooper and sits right off a park bearing his name.

i guess it was on the market for 2.5, sold for less. still it seems to be coming down, especially with the zoning on it.
