I spotted a juvenile bald eagle yesterday morning while visiting my aunt and uncle in Lake Sammamish Wa. First time I'd seen one through binoculars. There are a good number of them in the area, probably not many outdoor house cats.
Scoop? Well, I was the first to locate and post the location online, though people had been reporting the birds in the area. I think it's worth publicizing since the nest is safely out of reach of mischief, and public awareness promotes conservation.
The lenses on those cameras: yeah, the guy's a pro, worked for AP I think; same fellow who was arrested for harassing Paula Zahn's kid during the nest-removal incident across from Central Park a few years back.
