SFO -> YYZ, just for a day to pick up a Catahoula puppy.
we've been watching the videos, those pups are too adorable. congrats!
Back already. We drove to the airport with two puppies, one to go business class with me, the other to go cargo to another owner. During the hour or so drive to the airport, one was howling up a storm. I couldn't tell which. Maybe the one with the premonition that he was going steerage.
I tried my best to wear out Tuli before we got on the plane. It worked pretty well. She didn't fuss much on the plane. Howling for five hours would have been a bit much for everyone. I took her into the tiny little airplane bathroom and got her to pee. But I think a fair amount of peeing went on in the carrier.
To house break her, I'm going to set a 30 minute timer for taking her out to the back yard. The dog has been growing faster than the bladder I think.
With a fairly light carrier she weighed in at 20 lbs. I think there was at least 15 lbs of puppy.
pictures!
sweet!
does she have green eyes? I love a dog with eyebrows, and you can tell from her petite ankles she probably wont grow much.
Right now Bat-boy and his fat cankles are very upset with mb
oh you mean like these, just saying.
haha, those are delicious!
Grey/green. Often they go to black, but she may retain grey. There were some "reds" in the litter with blue eyes.
The dog breeder had some fellow Catahoula breeder friends over for coffee on Sunday. (Tim Hortons, eh.) Listening to them shooting the breeze, I got a real taste of the Ontario accent.
Where in Ontario was the breeder?
All the breeders made note of the tan fringe on the ear. Not very common, apparently.
The dog in the background is Louie, another Catahoula. There are multiple phenotypes for Catahoulas. Louie and the stock Tuli comes from have very different looks.
East of Barrie, near Oro Station.
when I googled it came up as Catahoula Cur- in the nicest sense of the word
It's a breed of many names.
By the way. Next time you come to YYZ for a day you have to make time for a coffee with me and L.M. (yeesh).
Or I make you dinner. (yeesh)
Thanks. I had a very short window this time. Although there's a vendor in Toronto I may need to visit one of these days.
We'd be thrilled to see you if you do get here.
Can we trade?

Just for a little while :-)

Young canines are hard enough. I don't think I could handle a young human.

Diapers are probably a plus. At least when it's cold outside.

Rainy season is just hitting us. We're hoping Tuli adapts.
