RIP Super Dave
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0251872/. It must have been on the John byner show 1972 I first saw him act. But I followed smothers bros from before.
i cant remember where i saw them first. it was definitely in the early cable days in like 1981 ish. maybe hbo replayed those byner shows. didnt know he was albert brooks brother for the longest time.
must have been bizarre which aired from 80 to 85. also with byner. that and letterman appearances.
lets not forget the captain for no other reason than his name was daryl dragon.
The captain gets some cred by being on the fringe of the wrecking crew. I guess he’s also on the fringe of yacht rock too.

The Einstein family was something, with brother Albert Brooks having his own interesting career, and father Harry Parke. I didn’t know who Parke was until running into him as Parkyakarkus, on TCM in one of the few films he made as the English-mangling Greek diner owner; he was well known for the character on the radio. He died of a heart attack while performing at a Friar’s club roast of Lucy and Desi, collapsing onto Milton Berle’s shoulder; folks at first thought it was a joke. It seems Jerry Seinfeld did a show about it, though I haven’t seen it.
Dick Shawn also died on stage with similar confusion.
Plus older brother Cliff major art collector...
Also....Maybe old news, but good old news....
Nutty ass Dr Hook show...
