Yes, insofar as it's a Saw-whet Owl. I remember photos of my dad with one he tried to rescue before I was born. I think it ended up in the collection of the U of M natural history museum in Ann Arbor. - alex 12-25-2020 8:50 am [add a comment]

Just that it's a locally occurring owl, the smallest over most of the country, and got wrapped up in the Christmas tree.
When I was a teenager I discovered one perched in the small tree outside my bedroom window, it was probably less than three feet away. We stared at each other for a few minutes then I left the room, hoping if I left it alone it might build a nest. - steve 12-25-2020 12:40 pm [add a comment]
