guess there are some fires in canada that i had not heard about. the city smells burny like maybe someone lit a giant sage smudge and it is smoldering after you tried to put it out.
I’ve been following the fires and been detectng crummy respiratory conditions over the last week. We are also experiencing drought conditions with virtually NO rain all May and so far in June. Been watering new planting twice weekly. This afternoon was the worst for smoke so far, getting that same sun and forrest burn stink.
holy crap that is some crazy, hazy post apocalyptic shit out there. honestly though, i could get used to the smell. its like theres a giant fireplace crackling just out of sight.
Fortunately it’s gotten better since Thursday. Wind direction, it’s still burning and we are having a drought here. - bill 6-11-2023 6:51 am [add a comment]
i prefered yesterdays nuclear winter to this sunny and hazy bs. maybe i should go into extreme firefighting. does that involve lifting or getting out of bed? what if is strapped a couple of high velocity water cannons to that bedknobs and broomsticks bed? or should i just sign on for one of those mars treks? is kvetch a job title?
