just placed my first kozmo.com order. their movie selection isnt very big but i managed to find something. i was almost more curious to see if they could navigate my difficult delivery scenario (no buzzer, no number)than anything else. some decent junkyfoody munchies options but no bubbly water or soymilk. nice that you can place an order and specify an hour window to receive it. ill keep you posted on the outcome.
pretty good job. fast friendly service. they even gave me free microwave popcorn. too bad i dont have a waver. have to see how the return aspect goes. im not sure what they charge for that if you dont drop it in one of their boxes. hopefully their selections will get better.
i heard they are going bankrupt??
where did you hear that? i wouldnt be surprised except that i remember that they got 60 million(?) from amazon last year. "Amazon.com Inc. confirmed it has invested $60 million in Kozmo.com, an Internet-to-door delivery service for videos, snacks and other products. Under a three-year strategic alliance with Kozmo, Amazon also plans, at an unspecified date, to unveil a one-hour delivery option for buyers of some books, music and toys. Details of the investment, which closed in December, were not revealed."
there was an article in slate today about kozmo. he doesnt think much of their chances unless they modify their products in which case they wont be what they started out as. i guess we will see. eventually theyll be up shits creek along with blockbuster whenever video on demand arrives. what the outlook for that 5 to 10 years??

that sum's it up--linda works for screaming media and her pal allmost went there instead (to kosmo) so she said she heard they were going under (rumor) and that she was happy to be a screamer (ipo 12 now 10.75 but did hit 14 so not really bad so far)

I'll bet you have it in 2 years (it's already available - the bandwidth - it's just a little too much money.)
