guess the laws for statutory rape are a little different in the dominican republic. if any of the dates are right that would put the mother at 15 and the father at 22 when almonte was born. and she has another son thats reportedly a year and a half older than the pitching phenom.
on the bright side, he would be that much closer to the age eligibility of 16 to sign a major league contract but with two fewer years to develop the skills and physique necessary for that to happen. im sure hell have more than a few suitors despite the little league scandal.
