Brainy NBC reporter says “Latin America has waited 20 centuries for a pope of their own” and I’m thinking it was only 15 centuries ago that the Europeans sailed over and forced Catholicism down the local’s throats. The realistic possibility of a Latin American pope is strictly a 21st Century phenomenon, but you’ve got to give the Vatican credit, it adjusts to demographic shifts faster than the US Republican Party.
yeah but he is 76 so the italians only have to suffer for a few years.
