This is not an easy thing to solve. You might want to consider just reformating your hard drive (erasing everything) and reinstalling windows. That may well be the easiest thing to do. Especially if you don't have tons of data you have to back up before doing so. That is the only sure way of getting rid of anything.
Short of that, Norton Antivirus is a good program. But it's complex. These things change fast. An old version of the program definitely does no good. If you (or Linda) actually bought the program, and the license hasn't expired, you can go here and download the latest virus definitions. These come out about once a month, and contain the fingerprint of new viruses that the Norton program uses to find these things. If you don't have all the new definitions you won't find the new viruses.
Sorry this happened to you brother. Wish I could be of more help. I haven't gotten any mail from you with any of the give away subject lines. Anybody else received any weird mail from Mike? Like something with the subject line "I send this to you to get your opinion"?
if it doesnt say, "you may already be a winner," i dont read it.
we downloaded the new noron stuff and it found the stuff we just cant delete those files--can we just over ride them and delete them somehow--i can delete the hard drive if you think so--actually deleteing is my favorite thing!!!
