How's the attic these days?
Lovely, dark & deep... makes me think of another of Frost's poems: The Witch of Coos, as convicing a ghost story as there can be & worthy of any superstitious filmmaker's scrutiny. Burrough's story, The Wishing Machine, embedded in his novel, The Western Lands, has a similar authentic eerieness. I mean it's not that easy to spook artfully . While I was watching the Japanese 'horror' movie, The Eye, the other night I was wondering if you'd seen it. It's got acid written all over it. Mostly, though, thanks for asking, I'm downstairs these days devising my own horrors.
