as storms go, i was pathological. and my namesake, much like george bush, did not much care for black people though the same might not be said for the light brown folks as he veered from puerto rico to besiege the dominican republic. though that theory may not hold nearly as much water as the storm itself as haiti was spared the full force of its wrath. i do recall missing school as a result (the second day of 6th grade according to the wayback machine) for which i am forever grateful.
