always / we find a venue yet ?

Local (an Irish bar on Ludlow St. we sometimes meet at) is nice because at the early hour we start there is a pretty good chance of getting one of the two little private rooms in front. (A lot of bars in Dublin had this same layout, and they called them 'snugs'.) Pretty nice for a smallish group. It's not so nice if you don't want to drink beer. We're much better off drinking wine (if that's what we wanted to do) at one of our places. Maybe Dave should have us all over!

Food wise, of course, there is always GSI (9th ave, btw. 50-51) or what about [insert the name of that indian place with the set menu and the funky decor here] or even Mavalli Palace (both Indian veg. friendly, east side low 20s.)

Or maybe with two of those giant bags of pistachios we wouldn't even have to worry about it. I'm open for most anything. I think MB is busy.

      • Yes. Across from Barramundi. It's either 139 or 137 Ludlow, I can never remember. If Alex and Bill go right from work we'll be looking at 5:30 kickoff. I'm assuming others will join as they can. (Assuming we actually decide on Local.)
