That's what I found while trying to work up a Bermuda, Louisiana, Arkansas triangle theory. Once a year makes it seem pretty common but what about those fish? Maybe that's just definition of coincidence and it could be who's really to blame is us for having constant instantaneous access to arcane news factoids.
Those poor dumb blackbirds. What I read posits that they freaked out and ran into each other causing the blunt trauma. Still, could be alien invasion.
