Yeah, it's a big facility.I think third biggest in NYC. 60 Hudson is larger, and just across the street from us. It was all lit up and humming throughout the blackout as well. Kind of weird to see it with everything else blacked out.
As to the ethics of it all I don't know what they could have done. These are businesses with contracts to honor. They can't suddenly decide to take client sites down on the hope that the fuel companies might decide to do something more useful with the fuel. Plus, emergency and medical services were already getting priority for delivery.Still, the larger question of how useful the internet is remains. For me the net is a crucial part of my life but that might not be the best thing....
