felice bryant passed on too. she co-wrote a slew of songs for the everly brothers and others. she is probably best known for "rocky top" a tune about a fictional mountain in Tennessee, once described to me as the "proud mary" of blue grass numbers. I'm constantly blown away when this happens, belatedly putting a face on music written in the 20c that seemed to have been around forever in its perfection.
