RIP roaring
about.me just got some funding, and already has several hundred thousand users. The idea is just to be a place for short personal biographies and links to all your other sites / facebook / twitter / etc... Sort of a business card for the web. Super simple idea, but I think they are doing it right and might succeed. So I'm mentioning it because it's free to sign up and you can probably still get your own name at this point (like http://about.me/yourname). If it turns out to be a bust you won't have lost anything. (I was always mad I was too late to get jimbassett@gmail.com)
