Pretty much everything had some kind of an edge to it, as you would expect from Mr. Young; even the slowest, mellowest tunes seemed dangerously unstable. Pretenders opened, and did a couple of the star's songs, kicking off their set with a sinuous "The Loner" and doing a hard-rock take on "The Needle and the Damage Done." "Brass in Pocket (I'm Special)" was the encore and the highlight. |
