what is a flotilla mean in first link?.............(lost my NYT login)...............one article said she was on/attached to a paddle board and as such could not be freed under water after the snag........INSANE LOSS

• a flotilla generally means a small group of boats, in this case according the times article it was two inner tubes and a paddle board loosely connected.

• yeah, it was just the construct of the asparagus remark that triggered my memory of the calla lillies line. i didnt recall the context until after i watched it. wasnt meant to be so intentionally on point.
