Michael Brenson is coming out with a
new book (September 2004). Table of content
is here. I thought it might be relevant to some recent postings by tom moody and sally mckay (issues in criticism of voice, audience etc). But apologies if you have already posted(?).

Francis Fukuyama has a piece in The National Interest in response to the thinking of fellow neo-conservative Charles Krauthammer. It is a pay for view article, but has been copied in full into a
comment thread at Matt Yglesias' blog (it's about the 10th comment or so.)
It's not so simple as Fukuyama switching sides, or turning against his neocon brethren, but still it's encouraging to me that there is debate and self criticism on that side of the fence. I don't agree with a lot of what he says, but I thought it was well worth the time to read.
question - i have an a/c that is leaking out the back and down the side of my building. is it likely leaking because the unit isnt level in the window or is it just a cheap piece of crap? i bought it last year so it isnt old.
