just caught a few minutes of diane lanes first film, a little romance. nice to costar with laurence olivier on your first go round. if my memory serves, the first thing i saw her in was six-pack starring kenny rogers. somehow i suspect she learned less on that set, except possibly when exactly is the proper time to holdém as opposed to foldém.

I've taken to reading the NY Post during my Cup and Saucer breakfast routine. I love the op-ed page. It's filled with incredibly improbable ideas that make, say, Tom Friedman look sane. Take this beautiful one from today by Arthur Herman: How to fight Iran. LOL.
It's so simple - why didn't I think of that? Just take out all the missile launchers on the entire Iranian Persian Gulf coast. Genius. (No doubt his plan for how to actually do this was edited out for space reasons.) Then seize the entire Iranian oil sector (yes, with Marines securing the oil platforms, refineries, etc...) and then just continue to sell the oil on the world market (presumably pocketing the money so the entire operation just pays for itself!) Once we do this (along with knocking out electricity and telecommunications in the entire country) the Iranian population will - wait for it! - look to us as liberators and turn against the Mullahs. And even better, Iranian terrorist proxies in Lebanon and Palestine (who never liked Iran anyway) will see this as a cue, not to launch all out war on Israel, but to "head for the nearest exit."
I used to like to complain about the Times, but it turns out that was just because I sometimes read it. But they got nothin' on the NYP. "Real men go to Tehran." Indeed. I'm back to thinking we're doomed.

Lost like 8 pounds already, and today I did my first colonic to prep for the Liver Flush......I feel awesome, cant believe that cutting loose remnants of 7,379 Big Macs could make one feel so good!!!!
No tapeworm was the best news (1 in 5 she said, including her own daughter), but I have a yeast issue, she said that all the wine and pasta (my old 1 and 2 food group) has left a fermentation factory.....
Now I drink apple juice 32oz's for 6 days and a vegan diet to be ready for the FLUSH!!!

we are enjoying under $20 lunch of duck rillettes crepe, acorn squash soup and pressed andouille, mushroom and manchego sandwhich from Paradou Marche- new take out place in Essex Market. Yum and cheap. Also have take home meals like coq au vin, cassoulet, pork tenderloin with merguez choucroute for under $12. Only drawback market closes early and on Sunday.

Bar Masa.....not cheap but was a vegan meal front to back, highlights included a muchroom roll crusted in winter truffle, spicy cucumber tataki, winter root veggie and seaweed salad, and the best yuba I have ever tasted "Masa's mother overnighted it from her favorite producer".
Its a Hangawi + food experience....

Blue Hill Stone Barns: beet burgers and a beet parfait ruled the amuses, the first course was this strange fish that was like a swordfish, served raw, scary....Amazing muchroom/salad and "todays egg" corse was dish of the meal, great winter veggie course and lovely desserts......next meal downtown or uptown I am doing "lacto ovo veggie"
