COUP

dipped into snl 50. maybe the show is tomorrow? some sort of snl 50 music thing today on peacock. saw a clip or two. thought this behind the scenes look was interesting. heard recently that each show costs about 4m to produce and with the shattering of tv audiences snl is now the most watched show on nbc which is kind of crazy. im sure putting stuff behind a peacock paywall really boosts viewership. although back to the 4m, supposedly its more expensive to produce since they still do it at 30 rock instead of, like a studio in astoria, i guess because the space is at a premium and something about small elevators. they didnt really go into it. but, yeah, antiquated facility but obviously retains the history.

cant recall the last actual show i watched but easy to dip in and stream a few clips every once in a while.

found this via reddit. someone looking for dark comedies with irish female protagonist.

Saw the dollls upstairs at maxes spring 1974. Swiped the family car (while parents were away) and took 3 other friends with me. Important show for me as I was grounded for the Bowie at radio city shows and wasn't going to let that happpen again. I also knew we were moving from Westchester to Dallas burbs and I was slated for NTSU in Denton the fall.  Times were changing

Watched SNL 50 a couple of nights ago. It was weird and I'm sure I saw every one of the shows from that first season. But as much as I liked it, I didn't love it. Every once in a while I still get someone being cute and calls me Mr. Bill. And then there was William Wegman shorts. Any who, after being there the first time around, the casting is a distraction.

paradise is pretty mid despite its political thriller trappings and some twists. unfortunately it is created by the guy that did the family drama this is us for nbc and that melodrama is a little too present while obvious plotholes make the mystery a little less believable unless its more clever than it seems after the first three eps. on hulu.

"Uncontrollable Urge" became a moneymaker after it was selected as the theme song for MTV's television series "Ridiculousness," hosted by Rob Dyrdek. The comedy series, which debuted in 2011, features more than 1,500 episodes over 40-plus seasons, and new episodes continue to be released each Wednesday night, according to IMDb.

The episode count alone is a feat, but it's the reruns that have resulted in such large paychecks. Rolling Stone reported that the show may be aired on MTV as much as 14 hours a day and amid the pandemic, Variety reported that during its peak, the show was aired 113 hours of MTV's 168-hour lineup.
